Pictures..............

Easter 2009!

Joshua and I run the Children's Ministry at our Church. We organize volunteers for all ages 0-11 but we teach the 5-11 year olds. We have about 90 kids in all.

These are some pictures of the older kids singing songs with our volunteers and then having an egg hunt. We had a great time! The younger kids did an egg hunt also and it was sooooo cute!

One hour in the life of the Strunk's.............

Today the kids decided to make the living room into a small gymnasium!! I asked them to take it outside but before I got around to enforcing the 'take it outside' rule....................... Yeah, You know how it goes..........Jack tried to do a flip and landed flat on his back knocking the wind out of himself, Abby slammed her face into the back of Eve's head and got a bloody nose, and Samuel tried to do a ninja move (two year old style) and fell into the corner of the TV cabinet leaving him rather sore on his backside! Of course, I can only imagine what might have happened outside! At least the Emergency Room was not part of our day.............

Random.........

I am feeling pretty good today. I haven't felt sick all day except once. Don't know why and don't care, I am enjoying this somewhat restful day. Joshua has spring break this week so maybe I'll be able to get some much needed work done around the house. I am so thankful for my older kids (all the kids) because they help me out so much. Eve is such a 'little mommy' and Jack loves to help his little brother with everything (most of the time). Some people say they will out grow it but I don't think so....................Thanks for all your prayers. Hopefully I can keep having more good days than bad 'sick' days.

What's worse???

We all just had the "24 hour bug" come to our house this week. Everyone but Joshua got sick. It all started with Katie on Tuesday (but hers was very mild) and then on Wednesday around 5pm Samuel got sick. Then at 8pm Eve, 11pm Abby, 3am Jack and then after being up all night without a wink of sleep, I got the bug around 5am. All the kids still had stuff coming out both ends and so in between my trips to the bathroom, I was running back and forth to the kids when they would holler, "Mommy, quick, I need you.....". Of course, Joshua helped a little and then took care of everything when I could no longer do it. Thank goodness he wasn't away this week!! The kids are much better. We are just having a 'lay down' day today. The only thing now is that I have about 10 loads of laundry to do and a carpet to spot clean (Where is mom when you need her)..................... I am not sure what is worse, Everyone Having a 24 hr. bug all at once or this constant nagging pregnancy sickness to go along with everything else? I have never had to recover from being REALLY sick to being only SOMEWHAT sick. I think I feel worse now......... UGH!! I really need HELP!!
